October is definitely one of my favorite months of the year. It may only be because I've lived in New England all my life and it's signified such a drastic change. Coming up to StoneCrop in the middle of the summer was a blast, but looking outside the gallery now really reminds me why I love this place so much. We've switched the air conditioner for the space heater and the gallery is nice and toasty.
Of course, I can't think about October without being reminded that Halloween is getting closer and closer. Angela Casagrande's photograph looks like it could be the gathering place of a bunch of witches and ghosts on Halloween night. The leaves have all fallen off of these two trees, and she's edited the picture perfectly to give it a really archaic look.
If you've got some time off from the daily hustle and bustle, stop by the gallery. The Shoot & Tell photos are still here and the GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS show will be up for your viewing pleasure.
The gallery closes mid-October, so be sure to stop by before it's too late!
