It's really fun to see what people can do with their cell phones. Some people stay pretty traditional with their photography, while others are always trying something new. Monica Wilen is doing something I haven't seen.
I love the idea of taking a photograph and creating a completely different look, all on one device.
My iPhone 5 is always with me, so it is the ideal situation. No paintbrushes, no canvases, no paints to lug around. It's all there, all the time.
The images I am submitting, all come from original photos (used with permission) by Johan du Toit. He is known as @jvdt on Instagram, and provides photos for us all to get creative with through @electronicsocialart and @applifam.
There are many apps we can use to edit with, but my main go to app is Layrs. I used this app on all photo's submitted. - Monica Wilen
I'm excited to see what new forms of art spring out of mobile photography.
