Slowly but surely I'm coming to the realization that summer is coming to an end. The leaves on some of the trees are changing and the long sleeves are coming out at night. In a lot of places school is already back in session.
Alissa Rosenberg's cell phone photograph popped into my head today. It's a great black and white photo of a kid running to the bus after he's done with classes. If I was still in school, I'd be running to the bus to enjoy the rest of summer while it's still around. We all know it won't be here much longer...
The need to take a picture and I don't have my camera with me is what drives me to use a cellphone. Sometimes I am just in the moment...see something spectacular and want to keep it but all I have is my cell. Although there are many limitations to a cell phone camera, I have found that I can get down low or hold it up high to help inspire my creative process and composition. - Alissa Rosenberg
